Optimization of an Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction Method Applied to the Extraction of Flavonoids from Moringa Leaves (Moringa oleífera Lam.)

Interest in phenolic compounds has recently increased due to their potential as antioxidant agents. Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera) have a high content of compounds, which presents them promising source for the extraction these compounds. However, it is necessary use analytical techniques identify and quantify actual compound determine quality raw material final product. Ultrasound assisted green, rapid environmentally friendly technique that produces extracts from natural products. Hence, aim this research optimize variables ultrasound-assisted (UAE) process moringa using response surface methodology (RSM) extract main flavonoids methanol solvent. A Box–Behnken design (BBD) been used evaluate effect ultrasound variables. Finally, optimal time range between 2 30 min was determined. The results revealed concentration most influential variable. established at 15 min. Six were quantified by UHPLC-DAD identified UHPLC-QToF-MS. confirmed UAE an efficient method subsequent analysis control can be found leaves.
